As part of our commitment to the Children in our care Children 1st @ Breedon House adhere to strict nutritional procedures to ensure quality of provision regarding food and nutrition.

Parents and children will be encouraged to provide suitable lunch boxes.

Healthy snacks will be provided by the school club, menus will be on display in advance on the nursery notice board. Children have input into the snacks we provide and are encouraged to assist with preparation and service.

Children will be encouraged to develop good eating skills and table manners and will be given plenty of time to eat.

Advice will be given to parents about suitable foods to bring from home if requested.

Children will be encouraged to play outside every day, weather permitting. This will ensure that they have an opportunity to be exposed to summer sunlight which helps their bodies to make vitamin D.
