Our Accreditations

All of our Nurseries are registered with Ofsted the inspectorate of childcare services who regulate and inspect our premises to achieve excellence in child care provision. Regular inspections are carried out at all of our nurseries to ensure the compliance with the National Welfare Standards. A link to our latest Ofsted reports can be found on our individual Nursery pages. Our Ofsted certificates of registration are also displayed in the reception area of each of our nurseries.

We are committed to the continuous review and improvement of our practices and are accredited with the Quality Counts Quality Assurance Scheme. This is the leading independently assessed Quality Assurance Scheme specifically designed for group Day Care and is endorsed by Investors in Children. For parents this kite mark acts as an indicator of quality over and above the National Standards.

We have been a CACHE Accredited Training Centre since 1995 enabling us to train and develop our staff into quality qualified Nursery Nurses. When audited by CACHE Centre Advisers we have received consistent exemplary results which portray the high quality standards our Training Centre works to.

We are Investors in People Accredited which is a national quality standard defining good levels of practice for the training and development of our people. We recognise that our greatest asset is our staff and our continued commitment to the Investors in People framework ensures that our team of professionals are motivated, developed and supported through training and evaluation.

We are a member of the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce.

Children 1st @ Breedon House was named 'Business of the Year' at the Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce's BEST Business Awards for Nottinghamshire at Colwick Hall on 23rd September 2011.
