Welcome to Our Out of Schools and Holiday Club

We are excited to have a different setting for our Out of School provision at Acton Road. The staff team have worked hard to enhance the environment and maintain the quality and consistency which gained us the OUTSTANDING judgement by Ofsted in January 2013. We are looking forward to this new beginning and will support and assist your child in all aspects of the transition.

Our Out of Schools club provides breakfast and after-school sessions where children are welcomed at the beginning and end of the school day. We operate drop-offs and pick-ups from a number of schools in the Long Eaton area.

At Children 1st @ Acton Road, children have the opportunity to relax, do their homework or join in with activities specifically planned for their age and preference. Following suggestions and feedback from the children we have introduced various clubs which include basketball/football coaching, gardening, baking, design & technology, reading, film-making, music & dance, and Acton News – our own newspaper team! Check the notice boards and our website for more information.

We really welcome suggestions, and it's great when you share your hidden skills in a particular activity, please speak to a member of the staff team.

Our Holiday Club provides a range of great entertainment and activities for children aged 4 to 12 years old, and operates throughout the Easter, half term and summer holidays, offering the opportunity to help your child make friends, socialise and learn new hobbies and skills.
