Going for Gold in Clowne!

Children 1st @ Clowne hosted the fourth leg of the historic Children 1st Torch Relay on Monday after an exciting 22 mile journey.
The torch began its journey earlier in the day at Children 1st @ Sheffield, then went onto Children 1st @ St Peter and St Paul, and Children 1st @ Chesterfield Royal before arriving at Clowne.

The children and staff from Early Years performed the official Olympic dance to welcome the torch, and it was handed to our torch bearer, Georgia Burdis, who was helped by her special envoys Hannah Tompson, Katie Leese and Benjamin Slater Shepherd.
We waved goodbye to our trusty team with a guard of honour by our Peter Rabbit children, and a balloon release by Peppa Pig.
As the torch made its way to Children 1st @ Newark, the children at Clowne embarked upon a day of sporting activities which included an egg and spoon race, bean bag throwing, a 3 legged race and lots of running races!
The children chose their own team names, and Team Lasagna were the champions after getting past-a the finishing line first!
