Investors in People audit Children 1st @ Breedon House on a continuous basis to measure how we invest in our staff teams across our Nurseries, Head Office and Training Academy.

In our most recent audit in September 2010, our qualified Assessor Roy Thomas said the following about Children 1st:

“The Directors and Senior Managers have a very clear vision of how they want to develop their Nurseries. The Directors and Senior Managers have a very clear understanding of the ongoing training needs of their staff team and are providing in-house and external training for every employee.”

The Company aim to give everyone the information they need and the opportunities to put forward their ideas by involving all Staff in the formal and informal meetings that happen throughout the Company.

It was reported that our Managers use a flexible approach where possible to ensure all Staff are involved in meetings and can access the training they need.

Within the audit undertaken by Investors in People, the Assessor reported that all Staff felt their Managers were very effective and gave examples of how they had been thanked for their contribution and felt that their involvement was valued by Managers and Directors. Staff believed that Children 1st @ Breedon House is a “Very Good place to work”.
