The Children 1st Unit at Sheffield is 145 places and cares for Children between the ages of 6 weeks to 12 years. It was previously owned by the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and was taken over by Children 1st in 1996. The nursery is situated within easy walking distance of the town centre and is minutes from major bus and tram routes.
The building itself is housed on two levels and cares for children 6 weeks - 2.5 years on the ground floor and children 2.5 - 5 yrs on the first floor. There are also opportunities for children up to 12 yrs of age to join our holiday and OOS clubs. There is ample space for children to enjoy the outdoors in one of our 3 outdoor play areas including a grassed area.
The nursery offers 2 specialised baby units. One caring for the younger baby aged 6 weeks - 7 months and a second unit for the more mobile baby of 7 months - 13 months.
