Children 1st @ Plumtree reach new heights for charity!

The Children 1st team on Mount Snowdon holding a banner for Children 1stOn Saturday 12th May the team from Children 1st @ Plumtree, along with the Managing Director and Head of Operations climbed Mount Snowdon in Wales.

The top of the mountain is 1085m above sea level and we had great weather which meant fantastic views from the top! It was a lovely weekend away and a great team building event, and gave us lots of time to plan our next adventure.

This enjoyable but difficult challenge was to help raise money and awareness for the Rett Syndrome Research Trust. The charity is close to all of our hearts as our little ‘Olive’ was diagnosed with the syndrome in 2011. As a nursery we have already had lots of events to raise vital funds for the charity and Snowdon was the latest challenge we set ourselves.

A massive well done to everyone who took part, and special thanks to our nursery parents, friends and family for their support, with their kind donations we raised over £1000.

We hope one day soon this will help towards finding a cure for our little "Olive" and other girls who are affected by this terrible syndrome.

Look out for more fundraising adventures from Children 1st @ Plumtree!
