Harvest Festival Celebration @ Toton
Last month, Toton Nursery celebrated Harvest Festival and performed a mini performance of 'Grandma went to market' to parents and asked the children and staff to donate something to our Harvest Collection which we would take to a local Residential Care Home to give to the elderly residents.
On Friday 30th September, a few of our children from Early Years along with Miss Sara and Trainee Nursery Nurse Miss Francesca, visited Ashlee Residential Care Home on Nottingham Road to give the residents our gifts received from the kind donations at our Harvest Festival. It was a fantastic trip out and the children thoroughly enjoyed it, putting a smile on the faces of the elderly residents.
Mr Alan Leask, Manager at Ashlee Residential Care Home sent the following thanks...
"I am writing to show our appreciation for the kind gesture that your lovely children showed when they visited our home.
"We must say that although the children were only very young 3 years, they really did make our residents very happy, most importantly the fact that you considered our elderly residents to be apart of the Harvest Festival Celebrations, really did put a smile on their faces."
Thank you to everyone who helped us to celebrate the Harvest Festival and made it a wonderful few days for the children.
